Fully Integrated Collection, Processing and Sales of Premium Quality Goat Colostrum Powder

The global demand for premium goat colostrum powder and specialty dairy ingredients continues to grow across infant nutrition, medical nutrition, and functional supplement markets.

For large dairy and ingredient companies, the challenge is not access, but consistency at scale. Goat colostrum is a sensitive raw material. Its quality is determined within hours after birth of a baby goat and can only be preserved through strict handling, controlled logistics, and aligned processing.

Since starting colostrum collection in 2018, not a single batch has been canceled, reflecting the consistently high quality of colostrum flowing through our system.

Capriscope Colostrum BV, the colostrum collection division of Goat Specialty Ingredients (GSI), has developed a fully integrated European supply system spanning the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Spain, and Portugal.

Our approach is clear: full control over the supply chain to guarantee stable, traceable, and high-quality goat colostrum supply globally.

Goat Colostrum Collection in Europe: Direct, Controlled and Vertically Integrated

The process begins at the farm. Capriscope works directly with a select network of professional goat farms through long-term, multi-year partnerships. Producers are trained, supported, and regularly monitored. We know our suppliers and understand how their farms operate. For goat colostrum powder buyers, this creates a short and transparent supply chain. You are only one handshake away from the farmer producing the colostrum.

A key principle governs everything: The health of the baby goats comes first. Newborn kids are always fed sufficient colostrum from their mother to ensure a strong immune system and healthy start. Only the surplus colostrum, after the needs of the young animals are fully met, is collected.

This ensures:

  • Responsible, animal-first sourcing
  • Consistent raw material quality
  • Long-term sustainability of supply

On-Farm Collection Protocol: Precision Within the First Hours

Goat colostrum is collected from the first and second milking after birth, when bioactive compound concentrations are highest. Strict criteria apply:

  • Only healthy goats
  • No antibiotics or mastitis
  • No contamination or blood

Each batch is:

  • Visually inspected
  • Evaluated for density and structure
  • Filtered
  • Immediately frozen

For second milking, colostrum is measured using a refractometer. A minimum BRIX value of 16 is required. Any batch below this threshold is discarded at the farm. After filtration, the colostrum is filled into 1-liter PET bottles, labeled with production date and milking stage.

It is then rapidly frozen to -18°C, preserving bioactive components and preventing bacterial growth. Small packaging volumes support fast freezing and consistent quality retention.

Cold Chain Stability and Professional Storage

Once frozen, the colostrum is transported by our own drivers to professional cold storage facilities. These facilities operate at -18°C or lower and include backup systems to guarantee uninterrupted freezing conditions. This ensures:

  • Stable temperatures
  • No exposure to external risks
  • Storage stability for up to 12 months

Fully Traceable Goat Colostrum Supply Chain

Traceability is maintained throughout the entire process.

Bottles are packed in individually labeled boxes, keeping batches separated by producer. This ensures full traceability down to the farm.

Each batch is:

  • Individually tracked
  • Fully documented
  • Linked to its origin

Certificates of origin can be provided where required.

At regular intervals, colostrum from across Europe is consolidated and transported under controlled conditions to our processing facility in the Czech Republic.

Factory Quality Control: Independent Verification Before Processing

Upon arrival at the processing facility, the colostrum undergoes a second round of quality control, performed by an independent third-party laboratory.

This includes:

  • BRIX verification
  • Quality and consistency checks
  • This dual control system ensures that only compliant batches enter production and that quality is maintained throughout storage and transport.

Goat Colostrum Processing: Controlled, Low-Temperature Technology

Our goat colostrum powders are produced from the highest quality raw colostrum within the same controlled supply chain. Processing takes place in our own facility in the Czech Republic, supported by partner facilities in the Netherlands.

The process combines microfiltration and gentle, low-temperature spray drying. This method preserves bioactive compounds such as immunoglobulins, while improving shelf life and solubility. The result is a fine white to light-yellow powder with a mild milky taste and a slight goat aroma.

Nutritional Profile of Goat Colostrum for High-Value Applications

Goat colostrum is naturally rich in:

  • High-quality proteins
  • Immunoglobulins (IgG, IgA)
  • Lactoferrin
  • Growth factors
  • Vitamins (A, B, D)
  • Minerals such as zinc and magnesium
  • Bioactive peptides

These compounds support immune function, gut development, and overall health.

Compared to bovine colostrum, goat colostrum is:

  • More digestible
  • More hypoallergenic
  • Better suited for sensitive users

Goat Colostrum Applications and Product Specifications

The processed colostrum is used across multiple product categories.

Goat colostrum powders are available as full cream and skimmed variants, with defined IgG levels based on collection timing:

  • Full Cream Goat Colostrum - IgG 22% (first 12 hours)
  • Skimmed Goat Colostrum - IgG 20% (first 12 hours)
  • Skimmed Goat Colostrum - IgG 15% (within 24 hours)
  • Skimmed Goat Colostrum - IgG 8% (within 36 hours)

All powders are designed for high solubility and consistent functional performance.

Additional applications include:

  • Colostrum supplements (capsules and tablets)
  • Milk and protein powders (full cream, skimmed, whey, organic)
  • Dairy products such as UHT milk, butter, cream, and cheeses

Certified Goat Colostrum Supply with Proven Quality Track Record

Quality is ensured throughout the entire process.

The supply chain complies with:

  • EU Organic
  • China Organic
  • GMO-free / VLOG
  • Kwaligeit
  • FSSC 22000

Products are traced and analyzed at every stage, from farm to market.

Since 2018, not a single batch has been rejected or canceled, demonstrating consistent performance across the entire system.
